The Chickens

We have 9 hens at Gadara Farm, named Eggnog, Sylvie, Lizzy, Willow, Pearl, Rose, Hazel and Hope. We also have 3 Roosters named The Colonel, The Duke and Count Odo. We have a variety of breeds in our flock, including hyline, leghorn and Araucana.

Our chickens love free ranging and enjoy exploring the farm and orchard. When we leave the doors open, they love to explore the offices too!

We have bred several of our chickens using an incubator, as our chickens don’t tend to get broody. This was an interesting and fun project for all of us at the farm and we hope to do some more breeding in the future.
