About Sally and Leo

We have two cows at the Gadara Farm, named Sally and Leo. They are both Friesian x Jersey x Aryshire’s.

Sally and Leo arrived at Gadara when they were 5 weeks old. Sally is blind in one eye and Leo is completely blind.

Sally and Leo work together as a team, especially when navigating new spaces. They support each other by calling out for one another and listening to the sounds around them. Sometimes we will put a bell around Sally’s neck to help Leo find her.

The cows are very sweet and love attention. They will often run up to the gate for a scratch or to give you a lick!
